Looking for distinctively dynamic looks and handling for your BMW 3-series Touring or Alfa Romeo 159, with road-adapted racing technology and customised lowering of suspension?

KW automotive GmbH has just launched its approved coilover suspensions for the German and Italian upper medium (D segment) premium models, boosting their sportier appearance and handling.

Besides the looks and the coilover suspensions, both cars can be equipped with KW sport springs, with the BMW getting also s special KW sport suspension.

BMW - The Fichtenberg, Germany, based suspension specialists offer a wide range of products for the BMW. The approved coilover suspensions promise the highest quality for the 3-series Touring in all three variants (described below). They lower the vehicle between 30 and 60 mm at the front and between 20 and 50 mm at the rear axles. Additionally KW offer a sport suspension (lowering 30 at the front, 25 mm at the rear) and a set of sport springs (same lowering as sports suspension).

Alfa Romeo - For the Alfa Romeo 159 too, KW offers all three coilover suspension variants, with adjustable height between 20 and 50 mm (front axles) and 25 and 55 mm (rear). In addition, KW offer a set of sport springs for the sexy Italian car.

The three coilover suspension variants suggested by KW (available also for other models, such as the Porsche Cayman S) are:

- Coilover suspension Variant 1 permits customised lowering of the suspension and creates an optimised balance of sportiness, comfort and safety.

- Variant 2 is more for sporty drivers who also wish to make modifications in the set-up to achieve a more customised lowering of the suspension. Thanks to the adjustable rebound damping, it is possible to adapt the driving comfort to suit the driver’s personal taste.

- With its separately adjustable pressure and rebound damping functions, Variant 3 permits an even higher degree of customisation to the suspension and provides the perfect solution for those truly technically demanding drivers.

All KW coilover suspensions are produced in the unique stainless steel “inox line” technology. This assures the extremely high quality and durability of the suspensions plus a long-lasting perfect finish to match.

To develop their sport dampers, KW engineers have drawn from their years of motor sport experience, tuning the system in a long series of tests with the matched lowering springs to create the most complete system.

The result comes in twin-tube low-pressure gas dampers with fixed set-up which, thanks to high-quality components and modern manufacturing processes, will perform flawlessly for the life of the vehicle.

The KW lowering springs greatly enhance a car´s appearance. These superior sport springs are made of chrome silicon steel manufactured in a cold-wound process and top outfitting quality. A special heat treatment procedure and additional processes ensure maximum strength and durability.
