27th July 2006.

Two successful car models have just received new adjustable sports suspension options from KW tuning specialist: the Toyota Yaris supermini (generation 1) and the all-new VW Eos coupé / cabriolet (convertible).

Being one of the most popular Japanese sub compact cars (B segment), the previous generation Toyota Yaris has just received from KW a much sportier handling tuning package, as the suspension specialists developed for it a coilover kit Variant 3.

The racing technology derived suspension allows the Yaris to be lowered by 25-55 mm at the front axle and 20-50 mm at the rear.

With its separately adjustable pressure and rebound damping functions, motorsport derived Variant 3 permits an even higher degree of customisation to the suspension and provides a new solution for technically demanding drivers.

For the new generation Toyota Yaris II, KW Automotive are right now developing variant 1 (preset damping rates) and variant 3 (independently adjustable rebound and low speed compression) coilover kits. They should be available this October or November at the latest.

VW Eos - Right from the start, the all-new VW Eos emerged as a successful model. In Germany, the coupé / convertible, which is equipped with a 5-section folding metal roof, instantly became the most sold car in the convertible segment.

Like most successful car models, it is only normal to see the new, Golf-based Eos get more and more tuners attention. And KW is no exception, as it now offers coilover suspension Variant 1 (2 and 3 will follow soon) for the VW compact (lower medium category) coupé / cabriolet.

The entry to KW´s suspension world is enabled through a set of sport springs. A KW sport suspension and the coilover suspension Variants 2 and 3 will be available in the end of August.

The KW sport springs and the sport suspension lower the car by 30 mm, while the adjustable KW coilover suspensions allow a lowering between 35 and 65 mm.

KW coilover suspension Variant 1 permits customised lowering of the suspension and creates an optimised balance of sportiness, comfort and safety.

Variant 2 is more for sporty drivers, who also wish to make modifications in the set-up to achieve a more customised lowering of the suspension. Thanks to the adjustable rebound damping, it is possible to adapt the driving comfort to suit the driver’s personal taste.

Variant 3 permits an even higher degree of customisation to the suspension, with its separately adjustable pressure and rebound damping functions. Of the three variants, the third one provides the best solution for those truly technically demanding drivers.

KW coilover suspensions are produced with the stainless steel “inox line” technology, for high quality and durability plus a long-lasting finish.

Based on years of motor sport experience, KW engineers develop their sport dampers for each model, tuning the system in a long series of tests with the matched lowering springs to create a complete system. The result comes with twin-tube low-pressure gas dampers with fixed set-up which, thanks to high-quality components and modern manufacturing processes, will perform, as KW claims, flawlessly for the life of the vehicle.

Besides the driving dynamics, the KW lowering springs enhance the car's appearance too.

They are made of chrome silicon steel, manufactured in a cold-wound process with high outfitting quality. A special heat treatment procedure and additional processes further enhance strength and durability.

Market-specific prices, shipping costs and other KW automotive tuning options of coilover kits, springs, dampers and sport suspensions can be accessed directly through the KW automotive tuning website.
